Station 7 functions as Silk Hope Fire Department's headquarters housing the administrative offices and main response apparatus. Station 7 sits in the heart of the Silk Hope primary response district. The current station is the second structure built in this location for use by the SHVFD. The department broke ground on the new station in 2009
Built in the 1980's to fulfil the insurance requirements of our northwestern most citizens, Station 13 is home to some of our most unique apparatus and equipment that shares a deep connection with our department's history.
Engine 712 is a 1992 International commercial cap pumper. 712 is equipped with a 1500 gallon tank and is capable of pumping at a rate of 1250 gallons per minute
Engine 716 is the newest engine in the Silk Hope fleet. A 2013 KME Kovatch Pumper, it boasts a 1000 gallon tank and a pump capable of discharging 1250 gallon per minute. Image on right courtesy of Ryan Felter
Tanker 713 is a 1999 Freightliner with a 2050 gallon tank and a pumper capable of discharging 500 gallons per minute..
729 is a 2006 service company apparatus built by the Freightliner Corporation. 729 is equipped with a 25 foot tall scene lighting boom that is affixed to the top of the truck. It is also equipped with a cascade system, in-line hydraulic tool system, and Haz-Mat control equipment
Squad 7 is a 2018 Ford f-250 4x4 truck that is used primarily for medical calls, crew supplement, and command. Squad 7 is equipped with medical, traffic control, and supplemental scene lighting to be used in place of or in conjunction with any of our other apparatus.
